commitment to community

Matt and his family volunteering at the Special Olympics Washington Summer Games 2016 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Helping worthy causes is a personal passion for Matt.  He grew up in the Pacific Northwest, attending public school on the Eastside, then graduating from the University of Washington. Matt's mother had a long career as an elementary school teacher in the Bellevue School District.  His father is a retired cardiologist.  That's why Matt is driven to improve healthcare and education in this region. He's also the parent of a child with intellectual and physical disabilities and has become a champion for those with special needs.

Organizations like Special Olympics Washington, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Mary's Place, Woodland Park Zoo, The Museum of Flight, The EvergreenHealth Foundation, Northwest Kidney Centers, the Boyer Children’s Clinic, Epilepsy Foundation, Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation, Cancer Pathways, Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, and several private schools and public school PTSAs have relied on Matt to meet and exceed their fundraising goals.
